Camping, camping and more camping!

Camping was lovely and simple. One night at a pretty, small campsite on the hood canal .hot dogs, kale, fruit cobbler, bacon and eggs a delicious adventure into the wilderness sleeping in a big double sleeping bag (made by zipping the two together, hooray!). Camping is a time where we can take two full weeks and rid ourselves of so many of the distractions of life and just concentrate solely on God. It’s amazing what He can do when we actually give Him that much time to speak to us and move through us.

After a certain point, I just say, “go ahead, get as dirty as you want, but remember, we have to clean it all off later”.

Thank goodness we had a portable space heater in our pop-up camper. This was the family campout with the scouts and there were 7 families who went. Thank you to all who have commented on our blog or sent emails. As always, it is great to hear from you. Thankfully, at least, my wet pack came with a large hook inside so that I could hang it from the shower curtain rail — someone has had this problem before!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for reminding me how important it is to live each day in Christ. I can get “bogged down” with circumstances and begin to feel the weight on my shoulders.

Finally got to our camping trip for the year. Didn’t take any pictures worth posting though. Finally, we ended upon camping on the beach in Pacific City with a large group of friends. Well, several people bailed, and the true sole survivors, the weekend warriors, turned out to be six of us all together, two couples, and Mike, and myself.
